    Tony Madril, DSW (Cand.), LCSW, BCD is a licensed clinical social worker and board-certified by the American Board of Clinical Social Work in the practice of clinical social work. He completed his Master of Social Work degree at the University of Denver in 1997 and has 24 years of post-graduate mental health experience as well as several years of specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness meditation, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) from the EMDR Institute, the Center for Deployment Psychology, UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, and UC San Diego’s Center for Mindfulness.

    Tony is an adjunct clinical professor of trauma studies at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work and is a doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania where he is conducting research on innovative mindfulness-based approaches to treating psychological trauma in veterans. Tony is a member of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and specializes in treating adults with symptoms of PTSD/trauma and anxiety via telehealth and within his private practice office in Los Angeles, CA.

    In addition, Tony’s experience includes providing skills-based trainings to private corporations and human service agencies on the intersection between mindfulness meditation and the prevention of vicarious trauma and empathic distress in the workplace.
