    Dr. Tony Madril, DSW, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker. He completed his Doctor of Clinical Social Work degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 and his Master of Social Work degree at the University of Denver in 1997 and has 24 years of post-graduate mental health experience as well as several years of specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness meditation, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) from the EMDR Institute, the Center for Deployment Psychology, UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, and UC San Diego’s Center for Mindfulness.

    He is an adjunct clinical professor of trauma studies at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work and is writing about his research findings related to innovative mindfulness-based approaches to treating psychological trauma with military veterans. He is a member of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies and specializes in treating adults with symptoms of PTSD, complex trauma and anxiety via telehealth and within his private practice office in Los Angeles, CA.

    Dr. Madril’s experience includes providing skills-based trainings to organizations on the intersection between mindfulness meditation and the prevention of vicarious trauma and empathic distress in the workplace. In addition, he provides trauma-informed clinical supervision to associate clinical social workers throughout Southern California.
